Originally released almost five decades ago back in 1972, this silhouette was the first “modern” running shoe designed by Olympic track coach and Nike co-founder, Bill Bowerman. A cultural icon, the Cortez features a leather and synthetic leather construction for added durability. Painted in a predominantly accents also make an appearance for a retro aesthetic. Down below, you’ll find a foam sole for lightweight cushioning – the exact same design as the version that dropped back in the early ’70s – and this is lined with a rubber outsole with a herringbone pattern for traction with every step.
